Description:
We tried to deactivate one of the stock lookup values for the Response Strategy attribute on the Risk Object. This value is still showing up in the pull-down list. It should disappear from the list of choices.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to Clarity
2. Administration > Lookups > Search for ‘Risk Approach’ (ID=RIM_APPROACH)
3. Navigate to the ‘Values’ page
4. Select/Check ‘Watch’ > Click ‘Deactivate’ button
5. Home > Projects > Open an existing Project > Risks/Issues/Changes > Risks
6. Click ‘New’ button
Expected Result: The ‘Watch’ value should not appear on the Create page.
Actual Result: ‘Watch’ appears as a default value and is listed in the pull-down as’—Not Available—‘
Solution:
This will happen to any Lookup Value that is deactivated and is set as a ‘Default’ value.
For this specific attribute on the Risk Object, the value ‘Watch’ is being set as a default by the application and may not be seen on the attribute properties. So, to ensure that the ‘Watch’ value is not appearing as the default on creating new risks, be sure to set a new default value on the attribute properties. There may be other system attributes that have an automatic default set by the application and if you deactivate the value you may encounter this same behavior.
For the ‘Response Type’, go to the Risk Object >Attributes > Response Type and set the default value to one of the active values:
Also, go to the Risk Object > Views > Risk Properties[Fields] for the ‘Response Type’ and check the view default value:
