Posted @ 11/30/2012  10:40 AM By Glen Redden

Description:

Cannot save benefit plans for projects created from templates that have empty Benefit Plan Detail rows. Error 500 is displayed and values are not saved.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Clarity Admin Page>Finance>Setup, Check/create fiscal time periods for entity “Entity 1” to cover a wide range of time, for an example, from 1/1/2007 to 12/31/2010
2. Home > Portfolio Management: Projects > create a new project named “Template 1”
a. Set start and finish dates to be the same as the range of fiscal time period dates defined for entity “Entity 1”
b. Assign a financial department from “Entity 1”
c. Fill in all other required fields and click Save
d. Navigate to Financial Planning tab, create a new Benefit Plan “BP01”, use a shorter start and finish date range. Such as 1/1/2008 to 3/31/2008
e. Drill down to “BP01” and create a detail row named “BP01 Detail01”
f. Click Cancel and navigate to the project properties page
g. Check the box for Template, click Submit.
3. Home > Portfolio Management: Projects > use “New From Template” to create a new project “Project One”, click Save
a. Financial Planning > Benefit Plans, drill down to the copied BP01, “BP01 Detail01” is already there as expected.
b. Actions > Edit Mode, enter 100 for Jan 2008 to Benefit for “BP01 Detail01”, click Save

Expected Result: Benefit is saved as 100, Actual Benefit is still 0, Variance is 100
Actual Result: Error 500 is displayed, Benefit shows 100, Actual Benefit shows 100, Variance shows 100. After Clicking the Cancel button, no value is saved.
