Clarity: Match scores may be inaccurate if availability dates do not fall within the following range

Posted @ 02/12/2013  09:31 AM By Federico Pena

Description:

When searching for Resources using the Resource Finder, a message appears at the bottom of the page regarding a date range.

Match scores may be in accurate if availability dates do not fall within the following range:11/1/2011 – 10/31/2012

Is there a way to change this date range?

Solution:

The message indicates a discrepancy between the date range in the message and the dates in the Availability field. That is, the Availability Match score can be inaccurate. For example, say, the dates in the Availability field are 9/1/11 – 2/7/12 and the date range in the message is 11/1/11 – 10/31/12. The application cannot find a one-to-one comparison for any resource, which lowers the overall availability match scores.

The application is using Resource Allocation data for finding resources to match the criteria. The dates that appear in this message come from the Time Slice definition DAILYRESOURCEALLOCCURVE (Slice ID=10). The date range is determined by using the current From Date and the number of periods defined in the Time Slice Definition.

This is one of the standard Time Slice definitions that is also used for data generated in the Datamart Extraction job.

Changing the From Date and Number of Periods will have impact on the Time Slicing job, Datamart Extraction job and some reports and portlets.
